Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts

Job Description / Responsibility

Job Summary:
Mohammadi Group, a leading name in Bangladesh's apparel industry, is looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts to oversee core accounting operations, including AP/AR, tax compliance and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable processes.
Record and reconcile daily banking transactions.
Prepare bank reconciliation statements and address discrepancies.
Ensure VAT & Tax compliance and timely submission to NBR.
Generate monthly/quarterly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Maintain general ledger and accounting records.
Coordinate with auditors, banks and tax advisors.
Lead month-end/year-end closing procedures.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
Supervise and guide junior finance staff.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor/Honors
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Professional certifications (CA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.

Experience Requirements

5 to 7 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments, Group of Companies

Additional Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Bangladesh VAT & Tax laws.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
