Job Description / Responsibility
- Position Overview:
- Gulf Oil Bangladesh Limited is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional in Supply Chain and Logistics to lead all aspects of supply chain management for Bangladesh operations. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in procurement, logistics, compliance, and stakeholder management within the supply chain domain.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to top management, providing comprehensive updates on supply chain and logistic activities.
- Responsible for achieving budgeted / forecasted inventory target.
- Responsible for achieving budgeted Revenue/ EBITDA by working with operations and sales team as per Business plan.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities for new contracts and business growth.
- Ensure strict adherence to local and international regulations governing supply chain and logistic operations.
- Develop, implement, and manage the organization's compliance standards specific to the blending plant requirements.
- Accurately determine raw material requirements and oversee the timely procurement of these materials, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This includes identifying reliable sources, negotiating optimal prices and payment terms.
- Maintain effective liaison with Gulf’s other entities around the globe to facilitate smooth operations.
- Meticulously follow up on raw material shipments, proactively tracking their progress until they are received in-house. This includes diligent monitoring and management of Shipping Lines, skillful negotiation, and the ability to identify and implement cost-effective alternatives.
- Knowledge about import and export documentation, conduct negotiations with banks, and LC operations.
- Conduct thorough quarterly and yearly audits, managing the inclusion of raw materials, addition and deduction of machinery, allocation of quantities, and independently handling all other customs-related tasks with proficiency.
- Arrange the issuance of indemnity bonds favoring customs authorities for the release of goods and ensure the timely release of these bonds before their maturity.
- Possess demonstrable experience in monitoring factory production processes and a strong understanding of product formulation.
- Exhibit comprehensive experience in the overall management of Toll Blending, production, and sales, including detailed costing and benefit analysis.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in commercial operations and the procurement of raw materials and packing materials from both local and international markets, coupled with robust overall inventory management skills.
- Knowledge about transport operations and efficiently negotiate with transporters for logistical solutions.
- Maintain a proactive and adaptable mindset, readily undertaking any tasks beneficial to the company as directed by management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Additional Job Requirements
- Age 45 to 52 years
- In-depth knowledge of Clearing & Forwarding (C&F) procedures and Customs Bond rules & regulations.
- High level of competence in correspondence, analytical thinking, and leadership.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, is essential along with high level of efficiency in MS Office operation.
- Sound understanding of customs regulations, international trade rules, and HS codes.
