Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context:
- Shishu Polli Plus (a project of The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh) is a humanitarian organization which is located in Sreepur of Gazipur District. We provide support of shelter, education, rehabilitation & livelihood training to the destitute mothers and children which help them to re-settle in their community with better financial and interpersonal skills. Now we are looking for qualified candidates for the position of Officer (Liaison) for smooth communication of the whole project as per followings:
- Job Summary:
- We are seeking a proactive and persuasive Liaison Officer to develop and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups. Factory liaison is particularly important as there are many garments factories in this area. They can donate waste fabric; train mothers and we can ask for donations (particularly Zakat).The ideal candidate will be passionate about social impact, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in stakeholder engagement and community outreach.·
- Job Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective communication and partnerships with local businesses, corporate entities, community groups, and other potential donors. Collecting information about local government and non-government organization and making a database of organizations who can contribute in Shishu Polli Plus·
- Outreach and Engagement: Proactively reach out to organizations to promote donation campaigns, events, and initiatives. Creating job opportunities and different vocational training to our beneficiaries in different local organizations. Collecting donation (especially zakat), rejected clothes and other facilities from local organizations (factories).·
- Coordination: Facilitate and manage donation drives and campaigns in collaboration with local partners. Also coordinating to get other opportunities from local communities.·
- Networking & Partnership: Attend local events, forums, and meetings to represent the charity and build awareness. Inviting renowned organization in different big events of Shishu Polli Plus and attending the invited guest in different events· Conducting different MoU with relevant parties for developing strong partnership.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, meetings, commitments, and donations, job creation received.·
- Follow-up: Ensure timely follow-up and engagement with partners, donors & patrons to maintain long-term relationships.·
- Brand Representation: Act as a positive and professional representative of the Shishu Polli Plus in all interactions.·
- Collaboration: Work closely with the fundraising, accounts, CMC, Rehabilitation and livelihood and operations teams to align on goals and campaign strategies.
- Any other responsibilities assign by the supervisor and need of the organization
Educational Requirements
- Master of Arts (MA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Social Science (MSS), Master of Development Studies (MDS)
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- NGO
Additional Job Requirements
- Age at most 35 years
- Experience working in the non-profit or charity sector.
- Prior involvement in donation drives, sponsorship outreach, or community mobilization.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, fundraising, or public relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple relationships.
- Knowledge of local business and community landscapes is highly desirable.
- Passion for community service and the mission of the organization.
- Comfortable with occasional travel and flexible working hours as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT tools is a plus.

Business: Shishu Polli Plus (a project of The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh) is an International NGO in Bangladesh, serves as a refuge and safe haven for single mothers and their children who have been displaced from their homes. Shishu Polli Plus was established in 1989 and is located 50km north of Dhaka in rural Bangladesh. Approximately 500 mothers and children live in the village and follow an agreed rehabilitation programme for up to three years. As well as receiving literacy and vocational training and other educational opportunities, the mothers work for SPP and earn a small allowance. Each month they also receive money in a saving account that is given to them, as a capital sum, when they return to their communities.
