Environmental Officer

Job Description / Responsibility

Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and programs.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.
Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
Monitor and manage waste disposal, pollution control, and resource conservation efforts.
Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Provide training and education to employees on environmental best practices.
Collaborate with management and staff to develop and implement sustainability initiatives.
Prepare and submit environmental reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in environmental practices.
Coordinate with different environmental stakeholders & arrange environmental awareness programs within the organization.
Promote a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility within the organization.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc)
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from public university is preferred.

Experience Requirements

2 to 5 years

Additional Job Requirements

Age at most 35 years
In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, waste management, and sustainability practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct effective environmental training and presentations.
Certification in environmental management (e.g., ISO 14001) is preferred.
Proficiency in using environmental management software and tools.
