- Job Responsibilities:
- Safe food production supports (25%), Safe food processing supports (25%), Safe food Market Promotion (50%).
- Develop and deliver organized or hand-on training packages for the field motivators, safe food producers, cooperative leaders and the entrepreneurs.
- Facilitate Fermer-led development (FLD) approach and cross-learning among the farmers, cooperatives and encourage the adaptation of best practices.
- Support in formulating the cooperative development strategy for program and entrepreneurship development.
- Build relationships with external agencies (public and private), and facilitate engagement with similar organizations.
- Support co-ops in formulating short- and long-term strategies and business plans and ensure their effective implementation.
- Support co-ops to successfully run the cooperative-owned enterprises.
- Work with the Mati's program team to develop cooperatives as business hubs with backward and forward linkages into the entire value chain.
- Support in developing business relationships with financial institutions, banks, and other value chain actors.
- Support in branding and marketing services to co-ops (selling quality products and services, promotion, distribution, bulking, and branding).
- May perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Diploma in agriculture with minimum 5 years’ of experiences in the relevant fields.
- Training and experiences in the field of agricultural value-chain management and entrepreneurship development will get extra preference.
Additional Job Requirements
- Age at most 35 years
- Experience Required in the fields of marketing, value-chain development, entrepreneurship development, business development and marketing in agriculture/livestock value chans.
- Experience Requirements Not required for Bachelor's in Agriculture but 5 years for Diploma in agriculture.
- Age maximum 35 years.
- Motorbike driving skill with valid driving license.
- Skills in Microsoft Office packages, Smart technologies, and other relevant apps.
- Training on value chain development and entrepreneurship development will be preferable.
- Demonstrate a high degree of honesty and integrity.
- Ability and willingness to work in a flexible schedule.
- Motivated to work responsibly with a little supervision.
- Good communication and motivation skill with multilateral stakeholders.
- Very good documentation and reporting skill.
- Proven Business development & marketing skill.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and living in the work station.
