Job Description / Responsibility
  • 1. Technical & Industry Knowledge:
  • Understanding of raw materials, machinery, spare parts and industrial consumables.
  • Awareness of local market trends for cost-effective purchasing.
  • 2. Procurement & Negotiation Skills:
  • Ability to negotiate pricing, quality and delivery terms.
  • Strong supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience in tendering, bidding and contract negotiation.
  • 3. Compliance & Ethical Standards:
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and legal compliance in Bangladesh.
  • Ability to adhere to ethical procurement practices and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • 4. IT & ERP System Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally or similar procurement software).
  • 5. Financial Acumen:
  • Understanding of cost analysis, budgeting and inventory control.
  • Ability to evaluate supplier credit terms and payment conditions.
  • 6. Communication & Teamwork:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bengali and English.
  • Ability to coordinate with production, finance and warehouse teams for smooth operations.
  • 7. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Skills:
  • Ability to handle supply chain disruptions and find alternative sources.
  • Quick decision-making for urgent procurement needs.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor/Honors, Masters
Experience Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Engineering Firms
