Job Description / Responsibility

Eastport Limited, 100% Export Oriented Garments Industry based in Cumilla Export Processing Zone, Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of an Assistant Manager – Accounts. Eastport Limited is a manufacturing unit of PORTWEST, Ireland a leading global manufacturer of safety wear.
Eastport is looking to hire an Assistant Manager - Accounts to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years or more experience in related field.
JOB LOCATION: Cumilla EPZ
JOB NATURE: Permanent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Compute VAT & taxes owed and prepare VAT & tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other VAT & tax requirements.
Coordinating internal and external audits.
Presentation of various monthly financial reports to head of finance, head office at Ireland.
Coordinate and liaise with co-staff to support in recording, maintaining and managing day-to-day financial transactions of the company.
Maintain Company’s Provident fund account and audit related task
Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines

Educational Requirements

MBA/ M. Com (Major in Accounting or Finance)
(Candidate with CA or ICMEA part qualified are also encourage to apply)

Experience Requirements

At least 5 years

Additional Job Requirements

Fluency in English is a must
Excellent presentation skills
A minimum of five years of experience in related field
A broad knowledge in VAT & TAX returns
Well experienced in accounting software Tally & M3
Flexibility – willingness to help other colleagues to meet deadlines
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in performing accounting tasks.
Strong Microsoft office skills, especially excel
