Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Type: Consultancy (As-Needed, Per Day Basis)
- Location: Dhaka (with frequent nationwide travel)
- Team: Program Delivery – Training
- Reports To: Training Lead
- About the Role:
- Noora Health aims to expand its work across all health service facilities under the DGFP and DGHS in Bangladesh. Our goal is to develop, launch, and implement a context-specific, needs-based, interactive, and adaptable intervention for healthcare service providers.
- As a Training Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth implementation of training programs under the Care Companion Program (CCP). You will conduct Training of Trainers (ToTs) and booster sessions for SSNs, midwives, and other healthcare providers, adhering to established standards. You will actively lead training preparations, facilitation, reporting, and curriculum development.
- Given the scale of our intervention, you will lead or co-facilitate multiple ToTs monthly—including in-person, online, and hybrid modalities—and travel frequently across Bangladesh.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Training Facilitation & Management:
- Lead and conduct ToTs for healthcare providers, ensuring sessions are interactive, engaging, and impactful.
- Manage training logistics, including venue preparation, training materials, collaterals, and online platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom).
- Apply adult learning principles to facilitate effective training delivery.
- Independently manage simultaneous ToT events as needed.
- Preparation & Curriculum Development:
- Participate in pre-training activities, including mock sessions and preparation of materials.
- Design and develop training plans, trainers’ manuals, and other context-specific resources.
- Stay updated with current best practices in training methodologies and adapt them for local needs.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare post-training reports, gather team feedback, and finalize documentation.
- Submit financial documents and training expenses on a monthly basis.
- Track progress and document key insights to improve training delivery.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate closely with the training team and relevant stakeholders, including government health departments and field teams.
- Support the team in ensuring smooth execution of the annual training plan (38 ToTs and 4 Booster trainings in 2024).
- Deliverables
- Training Implementation:
- Conduct ToTs in-person and through hybrid/online modalities.
- Effectively organize and manage multiple simultaneous training events.
- Pre-Training Preparation:
- Engage in training preparations, including mock sessions and logistics planning.
- Documentation:
- Submit detailed training reports with feedback and recommendations.
- Finalize financial documents and expense reports on a monthly basis.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Training Lead and team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Educational Requirements
- Medical graduate with a Master’s degree (preferred fields: Public Health, Social Sciences, or Development Studies).

- Qualifications
- Experience: 8–10 years of professional experience in capacity-building roles within public health, NGOs, or INGOs.
- Demonstrated experience in independently conducting ToTs and managing training teams.
- Proven ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills; ability to engage adult learners effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in training tools and software: PowerPoint, Google Drive, MS Office, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage critical situations with quick decision-making.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including to remote and rural areas.
- Knowledge of local dialects will be an added advantage.
