Job Description / Responsibility
- The Head of Internal Audit holds a crucial role within the organization and will be responsible for overseeing and managing the total internal audit functions of all the facilities of the Group. This role ensures that the organization’s Internal Audit operations, financial reporting, and internal controls are efficient, effective, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
- Job location will be at Head Office, Dhaka.
- Strategic Planning: Developing an annual internal audit plan based on a comprehensive risk assessment to address key concerning areas and provide assurance on the organization's risk management processes.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identifying and assessing risks that could affect the achievement of organizational objectives along with recommending measures to mitigate these risks.
- Internal Audit Execution: Overseeing and conducting internal audits of various functions, processes, and departments to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational efficiency, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Audit Methodology: Developing and implementing a consistent and effective audit methodology that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
- Team Management: Lading an internal audit team along with ensuring hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Communication with Management: Regularly communicating with executive management and the board of directors to provide updates on audit findings, recommendations, and the overall status of the internal audit function.
- Process Improvement: Recommending process improvements and enhancements to internal controls to streamline operations, reduce risks, and enhance the organization's governance framework.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that the organization is compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards along with ensuring that internal audit processes address these compliance requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Establishing and maintaining a quality assurance and improvement program to ensure the effectiveness of the internal audit functions.
- Audit Reporting: Preparing detailed audit reports that outline findings, recommendations, and action plans for management's consideration and implementation.
- Continuous Learning: Staying updated on emerging trends, best practices, and changes in the regulatory environment that could impact the organization's risk profile and internal audit functions.
- Ethical Standards: Upholding the highest ethical standards in conducting audits and maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
- Technology and Data Analytics: Leveraging technology and data analytic tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal audit processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management and control.
- Miscellaneous: Perform any other assignment as assigned by the Management.
Educational Requirements
- Master / Graduation in Accounting from any reputed institution.
- Applicant must have completed CACC.CA or CMA (Professional Level) shall be preferred.
- Professional Certification in Qualified Internal Auditor (QIA) will be given preference.
Experience Requirements
- At least 15 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Garments, Textile, Group of Companies, Sweater Industry, Dyeing Factory, Washing Factory
Additional Job Requirements
- Working as Head of Department for at least 5 years.
- Communication skills in both English and Bengali in verbal and written platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Be able to cope with pressure, and should be flexible and adaptable.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and proactive.
- Well conversant with IT equipment.
