Job Description / Responsibility

Formulate financial strategies for PBF and its entities, focusing on cost minimization and revenue maximization.
Prepare and drive financial planning for PBF and its entities, covering goals, income statements, balance sheets, risk analysis, and investment strategies.
Oversee the preparation of Statutory Financial Statements in compliance with local and international standards.
Ensure the preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans for PBF and all its entities.
Develop and implement annual policies for Income Tax and VAT, ensuring timely payments and settlements.
Ensure compliance with all governmental and regulatory laws, policies, and guidelines for PBF and its entities.
Ensure appropriate cash flow management for the smooth operation of PBF.
Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system.
Monitor and approve vouchers, including debit, credit, and bank vouchers.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external auditors.
Oversee the implementation of the Budgetary Control System.
Manage banking activities for the organization.
Administer employee benefit plans, emphasizing cost-effective solutions.
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Prime Bank Limited, government agencies, and regulatory authorities.
Conduct financial feasibility assessments for new initiatives by PBF.
Prepare budgets and cost estimations for new projects.
Oversee the financial aspects of new projects, ensuring a focus on financial issues.
Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.
Advise on long-term business and financial planning.

Educational Requirements

Master of Commerce (MCom) in Finance, Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant, preferably an FCA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA

Experience Requirements

At least 15 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Banks, NGO, Audit Firms /Tax Consultant, Financial Consultants

Additional Job Requirements

At least 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in CFO roles.
Skills Required: Accounting and Finance, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Data Analysis, Experience in using Accounts Software, In-depth knowledge of local Income Tax and VAT laws
Strong financial forecasting and analytical skills.
Expertise in bank reconciliation, bookkeeping, and cash flow management.
Experience in budgeting and risk management.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Confidence in presenting financial results to stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Capability to work with top management to organize, plan, and achieve the organization’s financial goals.

On the 21st of January, 2023, Prime Bank Foundation arranged its scholarship award-giving ceremony at a local hotel in the capital city. Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, Speaker of Bangladesh National Parliament graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest while Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam, Educationalist was present as the Special Guest. Azam J Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank Foundation and East Cost Group, presided over the event. Tanjil Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank PLC, the Directors of Prime Bank PLC, and the CEO of Prime Bank Foundation, Dr. Iqbal Anwar were also present. High officials from Prime Bank PLC and Prime Bank Foundation, the scholarship awardees and their guardians were also in attendance at the event. One of Prime Bank Foundation’s brilliant initiatives is Education Support Programme (ESP). Operational since 2007, the programme has been providing scholarships to several underprivileged but meritorious students from all over Bangladesh. So far, 4,227 students have received scholarships from Education Support Programme, inclusive of the 260 awardees of 2022. The awardees of 2022 received scholarships of BDT 2,600 monthly to meet their educational expenses until they graduate. These students have been selected by the Advisory Committee of the Education Support Programme, which consists of Professor M Q K Talukder, Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam & Rashida K Chowdhury. Besides Education Support Programme, Prime Bank Foundation established Prime Bank Grammar School, Prime Bank Eye Hospital, and Prime College of Nursing, Dhaka. Additionally, the Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with consultants on the 4th of January, 2023, for building an international standard 500-bed hospital at Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka. The construction of this state-of-the-art hospital will commence shortly and there are plans to establish a medical college too.
