Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Summary :
- Are you ready to take your career in the textile industry to the next level? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DGM/AGM for Costing & Management Information Systems (MIS). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing costing operations while ensuring accurate and efficient MIS reporting. - Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the costing department, ensuring accurate cost calculations for products and overseeing all related financial processes.
- To provide costing of finished product like Grey Cost of Various Width, Finished Fabrics & Product Cost inter-alia Dyeing-Printing Cost/Sizing Chemical Cost, Fabrics Preparatory Cost etc.
- Prepare Pre and Post costing report for each export LC with variance analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports on cost variances and profitability analysis for management review
- Develop and maintain robust MIS systems to analyze operational performance, track key metrics, and inform strategic decisions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive databases for MIS reporting, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- To ensure timely submission of MIS to the management.
- Develop and implement effective costing strategies to optimize profitability across all product lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data for cost analysis and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, marketing and finance to optimize resource allocation.
- Analyze cost variances, identify trends, prepare detailed reports on costing analyses and provide actionable insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Implement best practices in costing methodology to improve accuracy and efficiency across all departments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing strategies and economic factors to adjust pricing models accordingly to ensure our offerings remain competitive.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on costing principles and MIS tools.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate financial reporting related to stock valuations.
- Lead budgeting processes by compiling data from various departments to create comprehensive forecasts.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs while improving product quality
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Participate in audits related to costing processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
- ICAB/ICMAB Part Qualified will be highly preferable
Experience Requirements
- At least 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Garments, Textile, Buying House, Spinning, Dyeing Factory
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 35 to 45 years
- A minimum of 07 years of experience in costing analysis within the textile industry.
- Proven experience in managing MIS reporting systems with strong analytical capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and cost structures is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of MIS systems and their applications in financial reporting and decision-making.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions & experience with ERP systems is a must
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent intrapersonal & Leadership skill
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
