Job Description / Responsibility
- We are looking for a Materials Coordinator with strong knowledge and practical experience of working with supply chain sector and thorough knowledge on Fabric & Trim sourcing.
- About the role:
- You will join a growing team within our Bangladesh function, as part of the Global Sourcing Materials Management team. In cooperation with our global sourcing teams, we are responsible for developing and implementing BESTSELLER’s policies and standards as well as achieving our sustainability targets throughout the supply chain.
- As a Materials Coordinator, you will be responsible for Coordinating the Materials management related activities/projects with Bestseller suppliers /stakeholders in Bangladesh region.
- More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee day to day sourcing requirement from suppliers/Brand and help them to find out preferred Tier 2 suppliers. Maintain preferred Tier 2 supplier database for Fabric, Trims and Packaging and update periodically.
- Coordinate with brands to obtain seasonal trends, mood boards and arrange seasonal Material collection to Denmark.
- Obtain fabric development request from merchandising team and work with material management specialist to see consolidation possibility.
- Coordinate with Tier 2 suppliers to send seasonal material trends to the office hanger library.
- Update brands about new trends of tier 2 suppliers.
- Maintain fabric, trims library in the office.
- Obtain market Intel from Tier 2 suppliers and distribute with office and brands. Update any foreseeable delivery or quality issues in tier 2 level to wider team.
- Coordinate complaints received from garment suppliers, with tier two level where necessary.
- Keep an eye with sustainable material transaction from Tier 1 to brand.- maintain tier wise supplier certification for BCI/Organic/Sustainable MMF/Recycle synthetic fiber etc.
- Coordinate with Internal/ external laboratories for garment and fabric performance results.
- Naturally need to collaborate with many teams in our organization like merchandising, product development, quality and external business partners.
- Updated materials library on key materials and key materials suppliers
- Usage of materials library by vendors, Brands and Merchandisers are implemented.
- Vendors are consolidated into approved supplier program.
- Acting as a good role model according to BESTSELLER’s founding principles.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Supply Chain will get preferred
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Multinational Companies, Garments, Textile, Buying House, Supply Chain
Additional Job Requirements

- High degree of work ethics and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have proactiveness and positive Attitude, ability to act with integrity.
