Job Description / Responsibility
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy that includes manual and automated testing methods.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Identify and report defects, and track their resolution.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and ensure that the testing is aligned with the overall project goals.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance techniques and tools.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to the development team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to define the overall test strategy and plans.
- Execute test cases and scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Identify, report, and track software defects using bug-tracking systems.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to junior and mid-level SQA engineers. Share best practices, provide training, and assist in their professional development.
- Lead the effort in determining the testing approach, test coverage, and risk-based prioritization.
- Set up and maintain test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations, to simulate real-world usage scenarios.
- Conduct regular regression testing to ensure that software updates and changes do not introduce new defects or impact existing functionality.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, scripts, data, and results.
- Monitor and manage the progress of testing activities and ensure adherence to timelines and quality goals.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 7 to 10 years
