Job Description / Responsibility
- The iOS/Android app developer will collaborate extensively with stakeholders to comprehend user requirements and transform them into practical and intuitive app interfaces. This involves creating wireframes, and prototypes, and designing user interfaces (UI) that are intuitive and visually appealing. They will write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to build the core functionalities and features of the app. They will actively monitor app performance analytics, identify, and fix bugs, and address user issues to maintain a positive user experience.
- Understand user needs, and product vision, and translate them into technical specifications for the app.
- Create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that ensure a smooth and enjoyable user experience. This might involve wireframing, prototyping, and collaborating with UI/UX designers.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using platform-specific programming languages and frameworks like Swift and Objective-C for iOS, or Java and Kotlin for Android.
- Implement features like user authentication, data storage, API integration, and push notifications using appropriate tools and libraries.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify and fix bugs, ensuring the app functions as intended across different devices and operating systems.
- Adhere to app store guidelines (App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android) and handle the submission process.
- Analyze app analytics, identify and address bugs, and respond to user feedback to maintain a positive user experience.
- Work on adding new features, improving existing functionalities, and keeping the app compatible with the latest software updates and security patches.
- 5 years of experience performing the duties outlined above in a professional environment
- Expertise in either Swift and Objective-C for iOS development or Java and Kotlin for Android development is crucial.
- Understanding popular frameworks like SwiftUI (iOS) or Jetpack (Android) can streamline development and leverage pre-built functionalities.
- Proficiency in using IDEs like Xcode (iOS) or Android Studio (Android) is essential for development and debugging.
- Familiarity with relevant SDKs provided by the platform (e.g., iOS SDK, Android SDK) and third-party libraries is valuable for accessing device functionalities and integrating external services.
- Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration is essential.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices is beneficial for creating intuitive and user-friendly app interfacesFamiliarity with APIs and their integration with mobile apps helps extend app functionalities and interact with external services.
- A basic understanding of database concepts and potential interaction with databases for data storage and retrieval within the app is valuable.
- The ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues effectively is crucial for app development.
