Job Description / Responsibility
- The objective of this role is to understand the project's capabilities, characteristics, and technical requirements. They then transform these requirements into well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code using their chosen programming language. They leverage their expertise in .NET, Java, or Python, along with relevant libraries and frameworks, to build the core functionalities and features of the software. This might involve tasks like database interaction, user interface development (depending on the role), and implementing complex algorithms
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, functionalities, and technical specifications.
- Translate these requirements into well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code using your chosen expertise in .NET, Java, or Python.
- Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and potentially other forms of testing to ensure the code functions as intended, is free of bugs, and adheres to coding standards. Identify and fix bugs or errors in the code, ensuring the software operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Configure the software for deployment on various platforms (cloud, on-premise servers, etc.) and ensure a smooth rollout process.
- Monitor the software's performance after deployment, addressing any issues that may arise, and implementing updates or fixes as needed.
- Work effectively with other developers, testers, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and efficient collaboration.
- 5 years of experience performing the duties outlined above in a professional environment Strong knowledge of syntax, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts in .NET, C#, Java, or Python.
- Understanding popular frameworks within your chosen language can significantly increase your efficiency. Examples include:
- .NET: ASP.NET, Entity Framework, .NET Core
- Java: Spring Boot, Hibernate, JUnit
- Python: Django, Flask, TensorFlow (for data science)
- Sound knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with database management systems like MySQL or Oracle.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration is essential.
- Understanding of common methodologies like Agile or Waterfall is beneficial.
- Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and other testing approaches is crucial for ensuring code quality.
- The ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues effectively is essential.
- Working effectively with other developers, testers, and stakeholders is key
