Job Description / Responsibility

Now IED is offering a lucrative job position for Experienced Structural Engineer, who has expertise/ desire to work for the Civil Engineering sector of the organization.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join the team in the role of Expert Structural Engineer, For IED at Shymoli Ring Road, Adabar Bazar Road, Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze structural loads and forces, including dead loads, live loads, wind loads, seismic loads, and temperature effects, to determine structural requirements.
- Design structural elements, including beams, columns, slabs, walls, foundations, and connections, using principles of structural engineering and materials science.
- Perform structural calculations and simulations to ensure that designs meet safety, stability, and performance criteria.
- Ensure that structural designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay updated on changes to building codes and standards and incorporate them into structural designs as necessary.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs into overall building plans and specifications.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase and Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that construction work conforms to approved structural designs and specifications.
- Having sound experience in all the updated design software and structural analysis tools, Like; AutoCAD, REVIT, ETABS, TEKLA, STAAD Pro, and etc to create detailed structural drawings, models, and simulations.
- Thorough knowledge on BOQ.
- Implement quality assurance measures to verify, Review and approve structural drawings, reports, and specifications prepared by junior engineers, drafters, or external consultants.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of structural designs, calculations, reports, and correspondence.
- Prepare technical reports, memos, and presentations summarizing design decisions, analyses, and recommendations for project stakeholders.
- Stay updated on advancements in structural engineering technologies, materials, and construction methods through continuing education, professional development seminars, and industry conferences.
- Having sound experience in all the updated design software and structural analysis tools to create detailed structural drawings, models, and simulations.
- Any other task as and when required.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering
- Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Shahjalal University of Science & Technology students will get preference
Experience Requirements
