Job Description / Responsibility
- The Head of Maintenance of Akij Glass Industries Ltd. will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our production machineries. This position demands a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and leadership skills to oversee maintenance operations, minimize downtime, and uphold quality standards.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to enhance machinery efficiency and longevity.
- Supervise a skilled maintenance team, providing guidance and support to achieve production goals.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Monitor maintenance processes to ensure products meet quality standards, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Manage the maintenance budget, optimizing resources and costs while ensuring high-quality services.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining a secure and compliant work environment.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services and parts.
- Generate regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and efficiency metrics for management review.
- Identify areas for process improvement, implementing best practices to enhance maintenance operations.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 8 to 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Group of Companies, Plastic/ Polymer Industry, Cement Industry, Sanitary ware, Tiles/Ceramic, Brick, Steel, Power
Additional Job Requirements
- Age at least 35 years
- Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the glass industry.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong technical expertise in machinery, automation, and maintenance protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in computer applications related to maintenance management and reporting.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently at all organizational levels.
