Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context
- The SCM Executive will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process and managing store operations for A renowned restaurant in Bangladesh. This role entails efficiently sourcing high-quality products, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring smooth store operations to support the restaurant's overall success.
- Job Responsibilities
- Procurement
- Identify reliable suppliers and vendors for food items, beverages, kitchen equipment, and other necessary supplies
- Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards
- Place orders for inventory replenishment promptly to prevent stockouts and ensure uninterrupted restaurant operations
- Coordinate with the finance department to process invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers
- Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product offerings
- Store Management
- Maintain organized and efficient storage facilities to safeguard inventory and optimize space utilization
- Develop and implement inventory management procedures to track stock levels, monitor product expiry dates, and minimize wastage
- Supervise the receiving and inspection of deliveries to verify the quantity and quality of goods received
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in the storage and handling of perishable and non-perishable items
- Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile inventory records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors through effective communication and negotiation
- Address any issues or concerns raised by suppliers promptly and resolve conflicts to maintain productive partnerships
- Evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as reliability, quality of products, and responsiveness to feedback
- Collaborate with the management team to explore opportunities for strategic partnerships and cost-saving initiatives
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- 2 to 3 years
