Assistant Print Production Manager

Job Overview: The Assistant Print Production Manager is responsible for planning, execution, and project management of all print production processes. This role ensures efficient, timely, and high-quality production aligned with the company's vision.
- Direct accountability and management of team to facilitate production of marketing materials and printed product.
- Performs all planning, production, and execution of complex master schedules for advertising and collateral.
- Ensures the team is accountable for meeting critical production schedules.
- Provides leadership and project management to the team.
- Manages printers to ensure high quality, cost-effective, and timely production.
- Develops team’s knowledge of cost analysis, campaign setup, and quality assurance.
- Works with vendors to ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions.
- Develops specifications for new components with vendors and negotiates effective pricing.
- Communicates supply chain issues to account teams and coordinates solution implementation.
- Works with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and product cost analysis.
- Conducts vendor and technology investigations.
- Develops packaging, fulfillment, and postal solutions with costing analysis.
- Knowledge of print production process of 4-color publications.
- Knowledge of papers, printing processes, and techniques.
- Leadership, people, and project management skills.

- Strong understanding of print processes, materials, and technologies.

- Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Print Technology, or related field.
- Experience with digital printing technologies and sustainable practices.
- Knowledge of project management software and tools.
- Educational requirements are flexible for highly experienced candidates.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Familiarity with print management systems and quality assurance processes.
- Understanding of color theory and print specifications.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and excellence.
