Job Description / Responsibility
- Leading and Ensuring uninterrupted end-to-end factory operations at Standard Group Limited, Mawna factory to achieve on-time delivery of finished goods as planned, while maintaining the right quality, optimal cost, efficiency, and full buyer compliance. This role proactively oversees and drives the performance of key functions including Production, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Engineering & Maintenance, Fabric Store, HR, and Administration. Additionally, role ensures a positive industrial relations environment by promoting employee engagement, well-being initiatives, and proactive conflict resolution, while maintaining strong relationships with community leaders, employee residence owners, local law enforcement, and key community influencers to ensure a stable and supportive workplace.
- Key Accountabilities:
- Factory Operations & Production Management
- Oversee end-to-end factory operations to ensure smooth, uninterrupted production.
- Align production schedules with business goals to meet order commitments.
- Efficiency & Cost Optimization
- Drive operational efficiency by optimizing manpower, materials, and machinery.
- Implement process improvements to reduce production costs and enhance productivity.
- Quality & Compliance Assurance
- Ensure adherence to buyer quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Establish a strong quality culture to minimize defects and rework.
- Workforce Management & Employee Well-being
- Foster a positive and engaging work environment to enhance employee productivity.
- Implement initiatives for employee well-being, motivation, and retention.
- Industrial Relations & Community Engagement
- Maintain healthy industrial relations by proactively addressing workforce concerns.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including community leaders, local authorities, and residence owners.
- Engineering & Maintenance Oversight
- Ensure optimal functioning of machinery, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Drive preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track factory performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Use data insights to drive continuous improvement in operations.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Social science/ Business/ Science from public or UGC approved reputed Universities in Bangladesh or any overseas Universities.
Experience Requirements
- At least 15 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Garments, Group of Companies
Additional Job Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in RMG factories specially in woven products with having experience of 3-5 years in Head of Plant or Head of Production role managing factory of more than 2,000 machines and minimum 5,000 employees.
- Certifications/ working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma can be beneficial.
