Job Description / Responsibility

- Name of Post: Site Engineer. Reporting Authority: ED / MD
- Job Summary:
- We seek a detail-oriented, experienced, and highly motivated Site Engineer to oversee construction activities and ensure that all technical aspects of projects are carried out accurately and efficiently. The Site Engineer will play a key role in coordinating with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution and adherence to quality standards.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed.
- Able to register all materials, tools, and equipment daily & signed daily.
- Able to liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
- Must be able to do & ensure the operation works correctly & effectively.
- Maintain detailed documentation and prepare site reports, schedules, and other required paperwork.
- Resolve technical issues and provide practical solutions on-site, if required, and must take advice from consultants.
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate all types of inspections and ensure timely execution of tasks.
- Assist in estimating, planning, and scheduling work correctly as per design.
- Keep the project director informed of all work progress and issues that arise.
- Able to manage the site effectively & efficiently.
- Must ensure all kinds of safety during work.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
- A Diploma with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferable in Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
Additional Job Requirements
- Professional certification or licensure is an advantage (e.g., PE, PMP).
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant ground works experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of construction drawings, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other relevant software tools.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
- Must have computer skills. Must be able to work in MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint.
- Must be able to read & understand the Architectural, structural, plumbing & electrical design correctly & ensure correct construction accordingly.
- Able to organise & ensure consultants visit as per the given schedule at the site & record it in a register.
- If there is any problem then Site Engineer must not hide any problem or solved that problem at his own rather he must call on consultant.
- Able to calculate correctly the amount of construction materials, ready mix required for construction & place the demand in time accordingly for smooth construction works.
- Any works must not be hampered due to the availability of any kind of logistics.
- Must be able to determine or judge the quality of construction materials, including all types of sand, brick, etc., given by the suppliers.
- Able to maintain records of all construction materials in a register daily.
- Must check all works to be done daily & ensure cleanliness at the work site daily after the finishing of works.
- Able to supervise and ensure day-to-day operations on the construction site as per design.
- Must not change or tamper with any design without the written comments or permission from the concerned consultant.
- Able to monitor and enforce compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Key Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Must be able to command or guide all subcontractors to ensure the best quality work.
- Must not be guided by the concerned mistree or contractor.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, discipline & hard work.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Attention to determine organizational skills & goals.
- Willingness to travel or relocate as per project requirements.
- Able to purchase any kind of materials from Nababpur with good quality.
