Job Description / Responsibility
- Design and conduct competitive Trial & Demonstration with existing & upcoming Pesticides (Insecticides, Fungicides, Herbicides etc.), Fertilizers for finding out the best solution with right dosage rate and the right time of Application.
- Budgeting for research work, Managing Trial and demo establishment, collection data, analyze data to suggest the best solution to the marketing team.
- Identify insect & pathogen specimens collected by field officer.
- Provide recommendations for pest management strategies for farmers.
- Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to exchange knowledge and share research findings.
- Find out USP for products and coordinate with sales & marketing team.
- Analyzing contemporary and upcoming solutions for crop pest to find out the best sub market based on AEZ (Agro Ecological Zone) which is fit in.
- Designing training and development program on pest management for the Sales & Marketing team.
- Develop crop and pest calendar for individual crop based on Geographic differences.
- Develop strategies for maximum farmers crop yields by preventing losses from pests and diseases by using CC products·
- Provide information & recommendations to farmers through sales team and call center, regarding ways in which they can best use land, promote plant growth and avoid or correct pest related problems such as, weeds, insects or diseases infestation.
- Provide training to farmers, retailers, stockiest & DAE officials on the best practice agricultural skills and techniques, including better ways of using pesticides.
- Visit key personnel of Agri-universities, research institutions, development partners and DAE officials to develop relationship.
- Pesticide market analysis and determine actual market size and potential market size to grab market share.
- Any other assignment not detailed herein & felt conducive by Management as and when necessary.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture
- MS in Entomology, Plant Pathology/Agronomy from any reputed University or BAU, SAU will get preferences.
Experience Requirements

- Age 30 to 35 years
- Experience in Agriculture field (pesticide and fertilizer) will be given preference.
- Should be self-motivated, energetic & capable to work under pressure.
- Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skill in English & Bengali both written and oral.
- Adept at using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other relevant software.
- Must be travelled across the country as and when required.
- Should not have any chronic disease such as serious Diabetes, hypertension which affects work performance and travelling.
- Should have strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in following areas: Entomology, Plant pathology/Agronomy/crop-pest control
