Job Description / Responsibility

The welfare officer establishes committees and ensures their effective functioning.
Assists workers with leave-related matters and maintains records.
Conducts training sessions for employees and maintains training records.These sessions cover various aspects, including safety, health, and compliance.
Building a positive relationship between workers and management is a key responsibility.
Ensuring that workers receive their rights and benefits as per labor laws is essential.This includes proper salary disbursement, timely benefits, and adherence to legal provisions.
Monitors health and safety conditions in the workplace.
They advise workers on using personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe environment.
They provide support to pregnant workers during their maternal period.
Workers receive guidance on accessing medical services, housing, education, and legal assistance.
Ensures that all welfare activities align with Bangladesh Labor Law-2006 and Labor Rules 2015.
Oversee amenities like dining facilities, canteens, adequate toilets, childcare areas and drinking water and maintain registers to track these facilities.
The welfare officer is involved in the recruitment process and new employee
orientation.
They work to prevent physical or sexual abuse in the workplace.
The welfare officer counsels and motivates workers regarding office discipline and absenteeism.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor/Honors

Experience Requirements

2 to 3 years
