Job Description / Responsibility
- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial activities within an organization. They play a critical role in developing financial strategies, ensuring financial health and stability, and providing financial guidance to support the overall strategic direction of the company. The CFO reports directly to the CEO or board of directors and collaborates to drive the company's success.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to guide strategic decision-making. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights into the company's performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks, including liquidity, market, credit, and operational risks. Implement strategies to mitigate risks and safeguard the company's assets and financial stability.
- Capital Management: Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing, to optimize funding sources and minimize the cost of capital. Evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations to allocate capital effectively.
- Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the company's financial obligations are met on time. Develop and implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on idle cash and minimize borrowing costs.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and standards governing financial reporting and disclosure. Stay updated on changes in regulations and proactively address any compliance issues.
- Investor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and other stakeholders regarding financial performance and strategic initiatives. Communicate effectively with shareholders and provide transparency on financial matters to maintain investor confidence.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in the development of the company's overall strategic plan, providing financial expertise and insights to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with other executives to align financial goals with the company's long-term objectives.
- Financial Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA or CA, CPA, CMA, CFA, CGMA Certified Candidates will highly preferred.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Multinational Companies, Real Estate, Group of Companies, Financial Consultants
