Job Description / Responsibility
- Alam Textile & Garments is seeking a highly creative, innovative, and commercially driven Senior Designer – Design & Product Development to lead the design and product development function for our retail brands, Cozy Cub and Alam's Baby Wear. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating trend-driven, market-focused collections while driving product innovation and ensuring timely development from concept to commercialization.

- Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of seasonal collections for newborn, baby, and children's wear.
- Conduct market research to identify fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Develop innovative concepts, mood boards, color palettes, fabric selections, prints, and trims.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, sourcing, production, and retail teams to ensure timely product launches.
- Oversee product development from concept to final production.
- Ensure designs meet quality, cost, and commercial objectives.
- Analyze customer demand and sales performance to continuously improve product offerings.
- Guide and mentor junior designers while maintaining design excellence.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to source fabrics, accessories, and new materials.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 30 years
- Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in apparel design and product development, preferably in children's or retail fashion.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, pattern development, and product lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
- Excellent understanding of fashion trends, color forecasting, and consumer preferences.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple collections simultaneously.
