Job Description / Responsibility
  • Identify and develop new leads for the Animal Nutrition (AN) business unit in terms of spare parts, dies, and rolls.
  • Collaborate with regional supporting teams to prepare accurate and competitive quotations.
  • Track and monitor customer interactions, converting feedback and inquiries into sales opportunities.
  • Work closely with regional Customer Service (CS) teams to provide the right solutions for customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular visits and virtual meetings.
  • Report recurring customer complaints to senior management for resolution and future product improvement; provide recommendations based on customer feedback related to product features, functions, and development.
  • Analyse profitability (DB1) data and profit margins to ensure project profitability.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to secure favourable outcomes.
  • Coordinate the contract signing process and ensure all agreements are completed.
  • Support other business units in lead generation to drive overall business success.
  • Commercial Activities
  • Organize contract documents prior to finalizing agreements with customers.
  • Collaborate with regional supporting team to prepare Proforma Invoices (PI).
  • Discuss and confirm commercial terms and conditions with customers.
  • Liaise with customers regarding the opening of Letters of Credit (L/C).
  • Notify overseas colleagues of confirmed orders once the customer’s L/C is established.
  • Communicate with customers to manage any necessary amendments to the L/C.
  • Work closely with banks to assist customers in resolving L/C-related issues.
  • Coordinate with regional supporting teams to arrange all necessary shipping documents (e.g., Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin).
  • CRM Activities
  • Enter and maintain customer information and generate leads within the CRM system.
  • Record all customer interactions and activities in CRM.
  • Create and manage sales opportunities in CRM.
  • Perform regular and quick verification of CRM entries.
  • Update and track project risks in the CRM platform.
  • Record opportunity handshakes and mark opportunities as won upon order release in CRM.
  • Use CRM data to proactively follow up with customers.
  • Regularly follow up on all leads and opportunities within CRM.
  • Business Development & Market Analysis
  • Organize training programs for customers to enhance their knowledge and engagement.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions and industry events.
  • Visit customer sites, often accompanied by regional colleagues, to strengthen relationships.
  • Coordinate with news and media representatives to support advertising initiatives.
  • Leverage social referrals and digital platforms to promote Bühler’s brand.
  • Compile and categorize customer data for Animal Nutrition sectors according to specific categories.
  • Prepare a detailed list of competitors, highlighting their strengths and positioning.
  • Identify Bühler’s principal competitors and define market segments.
  • Drive Animal Nutrition business development activities aligned with Hoshin Kanri objectives.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
Experience Requirements
  • At least 5 years

Additional Job Requirements
  • Requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication in English and Bengali.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of sales experience in the process industry or similar industries.
  • Strong technical background and equipped with sales experience for customer service solutions including spare parts selling, retrofitting/ upgrading, and service contract.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Tools: Microsoft Office + internal software: Intranet (B-Net, SAP Quotation, CRM, CS Web).
  • CRM: Utilization and responsibility for dedicated data set.
  • Business Knowledge: Knowledge of major value drivers of customer P&L and ability to explain impact of Buhler services (ROI).
  • Technical knowledge to understand customer needs: Sufficient technical background (depends on market) to understand client processes, not only machines but overall transformation process and operations processes.
  • Eager to learn and constantly seek to improve professionally through technical and other trainings
  • Independent, organised and target oriented.
  • Social competence and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player across departments.
