Job Description / Responsibility
- Setting, monitoring and continuous improvement for Industrial Engineering department to achieve company target as well as coordinates with production team to solve and fix all issue to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Set up Line target as per plan Efficiency & discuss with the concern persons.
- At the end of the day ensure the line production with plan efficiency.
- Take the advance line feeding plan & discuss with the Production manager, Line Chief Quality Controller with style wise Paper Layout.Loading of Manpower as per individual machine and line (specially for Footwear Industry : Cutting, Printing, Sewing , lasting and packing )Good knowledge on time study .
- Good knowledge on hourly, daily ,weekly and monthly productivity analysis according to optimum level at Footwear industry .
- Good knowledge on material consumption for Leather and non leather shoe .
- Good knowledge on skill inventory of operators .
- Good knowledge on shoe costing for export market.Set up the line layout for the new feeding time .
- Ensure the all machine, attachment, folder are available for "Quick Change Over"Guide the feeding team to achieve best feeding efficiency & achieve day efficiency target.
- Back to Back feeding & should be output with in 30mins difference.Do the capacity check of all operations after 3 days of line feeding complete.
- Identify the capacity balancing requirement & use the balancing graph & ensure the proper balancing of capacity.
- Production study in critical processes for 1hr at least to find out the real scenario.
- Ensure pre-production preparation for new product styles by coordinate with related departments to ensure the required material, method, skilled manpower, line layout and machines are achieving production requirements.
- Study and record time, motion, method, and speed involved in performance of production, maintenance, clerical, and other worker operations for such purposes as establishing standard production rates or improving efficiency.
- Employee production Incentive report monitoring and approval of the incentive amount.
- Co-ordination with planning department for allocation of similar styles, capacity plan, line plan and factory monthly plan based on the history of line and factory efficiency.
- Making and approving OBs is one of the main tasks. Releasing style OB, line layout and thread consumption chart for line(s) to be done based on scheduled plan.
- Fostering Lean culture and application to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity and reduce wastes.Monitoring & controlling overall the IE & Planning-related activities of 100% export-oriented woven garments for the industry.
- The candidate will be responsible for making an effective monthly production plan/ advance plan of the orders in consultation and coordination with Marketing and Merchandising, production head, & management team.
- Review production plan with capacity and strength along with ensuring timely shipment through strong production follow-up.Order status monitoring & regularly scheduled meetings with Merchandising, production & store department for order Planning & proper line allocation of the styles.
- Always be updated on production status whether it is meeting the production plan or not, if not then make a root cause analysis and give a quick solution for a smooth operation.
- Study the worker's efficiency and identify their strengths & weaknesses to enhance their skills.
- Formulate production plan based on machine & manpower, study the m/c layout to achieve optimum productivity.Develop strategies to achieve Targeted productivity.
- Ensure Effective Utilization of Company Resources.
- Design & layout of Manpower, Machine and Materials to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Apply statically methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing process, staff requirements and production standards.
- Prepare monthly manpower projection.
- Labor cost analysis & improve the standard.
- Finalize capacity charts, create the loading, receiving & finishing plans & to manage deviations within the planning process.Lead the team with proper guidance & leadership skill along with assessing subordinates & developing
- Daily flow up the manpower loading relevant line based on absenteeism & skill requirement guide & support production team to balance should not allow o/p doing h/p & select the right m/p at right place.
- Improve the "Innovation & Development" in order to improve productivity & develop the method, implement together with production team.
- Time to time report to Top management with Strategic functions of Industrial production Engineering .
- Any other assignment as assigned by the Management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Leather Engineering
- Minimum B.sc in Footwear engineering/ IPE/Industrial Engineering/ Physics/ Graduate.
Experience Requirements
- 8 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Manufacturing (FMCG), Tannery/Footwear
Additional Job Requirements
- Age at most 45 years
- Incumbents must have experience in Footwear Industry.
- Must be proficient in English writing, reading & speaking.Up to date knowledge on related equipment/machineries.
