Job Description / Responsibility
- Project Name: Expansion of New high yielding variety of Rice against Intolerable Climate effect in the Haor (ENRICH) Project
- Name of Donor: Japan Fund for Global Environment (JFGE) through Share The Planet Association, Japan
- Location: ASED HABIGONJ Office with frequent field visits to project areas (Shantiganj Upazila of Sunamganj District)
- Duration: Initially for 1 year (with possibility of extension based on performance and project duration)
- About ASED HABIGONJ :
- Association for Socio-Economic Development (ASED HABIGONJ) is a non-government, non-profit organization working to improve the lives of marginalized communities in the Haor region through education, health, livelihood, environment, and social development programs. The ENRICH Project is a holistic development initiative aimed at improving human dignity and well-being by enhancing capacities in agriculture.
- Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor project activities as per the ENRICH Project guidelines and work plan.
- Coordinate with community groups, local stakeholders, and partner organizations to ensure effective field-level execution.
- Support household profiling, need assessment, and beneficiary selection processes.
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building activities.
- Maintain regular field visits to monitor progress and provide on-site guidance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports and documentation of best practices.
- Ensure proper documentation, data collection, and record-keeping of project activities.
- Maintain liaison with Union Parishads, local administration, and other relevant institutions.
- Ensure gender sensitivity, inclusion, and accountability throughout the project cycle.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Program Manager (ACEL Unit) and higher authority of ASED HABIGONJ.

- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- NGO
Additional Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in development projects, preferably in agriculture or climate change project.
- Experience working with NGOs/INGOs or development programs, especially in agriculture or climate change projects, will be an added advantage.
- Strong community engagement and facilitation skills.
- Good communication and report writing skills in Bangla and basic proficiency in English.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in rural/remote settings.
- Motorcycle driving skills and a valid driving license are preferred.
