Job Description / Responsibility
- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales, stock movement, and inventory balances at the depot.
- Post and verify all sales invoices and delivery challans, ensuring accurate VAT codes (e.g., VAT 6.3, 6.5) are applied as per NBR rules.
- Handle all sales-based VAT accounting and documentation, and coordinate with the Head Office for monthly VAT return submissions.
- Prepare and maintain dealer receivable ledgers, monitor collections, and reconcile with the central system.
- Record and ensure timely deposit of dealer collections (cash, cheque, bank transfer), and maintain proper documentation.
- Monitor and control depot-level expenses, maintain petty cash register, and submit expense reports to the Head Office.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, stock, collections, and dealer outstanding to the Head Office.
- Ensure accurate and updated documentation for VAT, TDS (if applicable), and other statutory requirements.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification, reconcile with ledger balances, and report variances if any.
- Liaise with sales and logistics teams at the depot, and coordinate closely with the Head Office accounts team for financial accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies related to inventory, cash, and accounting records.
- Support internal and external audits, stock audits, and depot inspections as required.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management
Experience Requirements
- 2 to 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Group of Companies, Tyre manufacturer
Additional Job Requirements
- Age at least 23 years
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or dealer-based business, preferably in a depot/accounts role.
- Sound knowledge of sales-based VAT rules (e.g., 6.3, 6.5) and other relevant NBR regulations is essential.
- Hands-on experience in dealer accounting, inventory control, and collection monitoring.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, and familiarity with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Tally, or similar).
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities at depot level.
- High integrity, dependability, and strong attention to detail.
