Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context:
- HV Associates Limited is looking for a motivated and talented Research Officer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve conducting in-depth evaluation research, analyzing social and economic data, and supporting project evaluations. The ideal candidate should be passionate about project evaluation, research, data analysis, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decisions.

- Job Responsibilities:
- Develop technical and financial proposals for evaluating development projects.
- Conduct social research, analyze trends, and assess project impacts.
- Prepare comprehensive research reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement strategic recommendations.
- Develop evaluation and research methodologies tailored to specific project needs.
- Design and implement data collection tools using platforms like KoBo Toolbox, ODK, and other digital systems.
- Create sampling strategies and design frameworks for project evaluation and impact assessment.
- Assist in managing client engagements and overseeing project activities.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the organization.
Educational Requirements
- Master’s degree in Economics, Social Science, Statistics/Applied Statistics, Data Science, MBA, Anthropology, Development Studies, or a related field from a reputed educational institution.
- Additional certifications or courses in Data Science or advanced research methodologies will be an advantage.
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 22 to 35 years
- 1 to 2 years of experience in consulting firms or research organizations.
- Familiarity with evaluation methodologies and proposal writing for development project evaluations is highly desirable.
- Fresh graduates with outstanding academic credentials are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and persistent approach to overcoming challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines effectively.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with digital tools and platforms.
- Strong command of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bangla.
- Familiarity with social research methodologies and data analysis tools is an asset.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to foster teamwork and encourage innovative approaches.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Strong expertise in research design, evaluation methodologies, and impact assessment.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing digital forms using tools like KoBo Toolbox and ODK.
- Strong knowledge of evaluation tool design, sampling strategies, and data collection methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, R, Python and data visualization software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bangla.
