Job Description / Responsibility
- Develop and execute category-specific short-term and long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Actively participate in carcass balancing to optimize product utilization and profitability.
- Actively Participate in channel prioritization to realize sales and margin targets.
- Actively Participate in Sales Promotion & Brand Communication design activities to deliver programs fulfilling Category Objectives.
- Design category roadmaps, including sales, marketing, and operational deliverables.
- Conduct category performance analysis and present actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Ensure effective exit strategies for underperforming products.
- Collaborate with sales teams to set channel-specific targets and align marketing activities.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasting using historical data, market trends, and insights.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate promotional activities to enhance product visibility and growth.
- Review category performance periodically and recommend strategic adjustments.
- Participate in new product development to address market needs and successfully launch products.
- Work closely with production & distribution to synchronize schedules with sales forecasts and market demand.
- Deliver Channel-Category price matrix to achieve margin targets.
- Monitor and analyze input prices to anticipate cost fluctuations and reflect in pricing strategies.
- Determine product pricing using market research, cost data, and competitive analysis.
- Conduct market visits, including B2B and B2C channels, to understand customer preferences and behavior.
- Review inventory files and assess stock levels to identify trends and potential issues.
- Visit warehouses and production plants to gain operational insights.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Supply Chain Management
- Certified Professional Category Manager (CPCM) or certifications in Supply Chain Management, such as CSCP, CIPS, or APICS will considered a plus
Experience Requirements
- At least 6 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Manufacturing (FMCG), Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
