Job Description / Responsibility
- Strategic Financial Leadership
- Formulation of long-term business strategy, investment appraisal & analysis.
- Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy in alignment with overall corporate objectives.
- Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost optimization.
- Guide the Finance team to manage Financial reporting with remarks and MIS.
- Financial Management
- Cash flow and treasury controls, loan payment, and minimizing fund cost.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes across the Group.
- Product Costing and cost control through cost management.
- Annual CapEx and OpEx budget and budgetary control through variance analysis, performance analysis, profitability analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Monitor and manage financial risks while ensuring adequate internal controls.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Establish a strong internal control system by performing internal and external audits at the right time and right manner. Developing policy, procedure, system & software integration.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
- Implement and uphold strong governance practices within financial operations.
- Investment and Funding Management
- Assess and manage the Group's investment portfolio, ensuring high returns while mitigating risks.
- Evaluate and secure funding options for business expansion and capital projects.
- Communicate and develop relationships with Banks, and NBFIs for finance.
- Income Tax and VAT Management
- Develop and manage the company’s Income Tax & VAT strategy to ensure it aligns with business goals and complies with local laws.
- Monitor the submission of Income Tax and VAT returns by the stipulated time. Establish processes to gather all the necessary data and document it for future reference.
- Identify tax-related risks and create mitigation plans occasionally with changes in facial laws.
- Address the legal litigation appropriately to avoid improper tax risk/burden with the NBR.
- Maintaining coordination with NBR, Tax & VAT consultants and other external stakeholders.
- Collaborative Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team across multiple business units.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Drive collaboration between finance and other departments to ensure alignment of objectives.
- Industry Acumen
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and economic conditions to inform financial decisions.
- Monitor and manage costs associated with manufacturing, inventory, and distribution.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Finance, Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
- FCA is required.
Experience Requirements
- At least 20 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Manufacturing (FMCG), IT Enabled Service, Trading or Export/Import, Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances, Group of Companies
Additional Job Requirements
- Enough knowledge to ensure compliance with NBR, BIDA, and Credit Ratings.
- Expertise in Tax laws and VAT regulations.
- Expertise in financial analysis, risk management, and corporate finance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong decision-making and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving results.
