Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context: One Direction Companies Limited is seeking a creative and experienced Graphic Designer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design, proficiency in industry-standard design tools and the ability to produce engaging visual content for various platforms, including digital, print and social media. This role requires someone who can effectively communicate ideas and contribute to the company's branding and marketing efforts.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of innovative designs for print, digital and social media platforms, including brochures, banners, websites, newsletters, advertisements and packaging.
- Ensure consistency of the brand’s visual identity across all media, making sure all designs align with the company’s branding guidelines.
- Oversee multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and the quality is maintained.
- Work closely with the marketing and sales team and other departments to understand project requirements and create design solutions that meet business objectives.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies, incorporating modern techniques to keep designs fresh and engaging.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers or interns, ensuring their growth and the quality of work produced by the team.
- Actively seek feedback from different team members, making necessary revisions to designs to meet expectations.
- Expertly use design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), and familiarity with UI/UX tools like Figma or Sketch is a plus.
- Design for both print and digital platforms, understanding the technical specifications of each medium.
- Coordinate with printing vendors and other external stakeholders to ensure the highest quality of printed materials.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Line Authority or the Honorable Management Authority.
Educational Requirements
- MFA or BFA (Honors) degree in Graphic Design or from reputed university.
- Professional certification is a plus.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Group of Companies, Share Brokerage/ Securities House
Additional Job Requirements
- Age at least 28 years
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar graphic design and video editing software.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Ability to produce both print and digital designs, with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing for digital and social media platforms.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading design teams and managing junior designers is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with various departments.
- Familiarity with the retail, food & beverage and FMCG sectors in Bangladesh is an advantage.
- Understanding of current design trends, particularly in retail and corporate branding.
- A portfolio showcasing previous design work, particularly in retail marketing or corporate design, is required.
