Job Description / Responsibility
  • Work closely with the Project Coordinator of the project to identify capacity development needs of local and national humanitarian actors in the district in consultation with relevant actors;
  • Support partner NGO and other local government officials and representatives of local administrative bodies as well national level policy holders to identify capacity development objectives and action plan;
  • Research and identify available capacity development options including e.g. training events, e-learning, workshops, peer-to-peer learning, coaching to the district / union level as per national skill development policy;
  • Organize and facilitate capacity building activities as required, maximising (and strengthening) locally available resources in the district;
  • Coordinate capacity development initiatives at the district level and ensure documentation of key processes and actions;
  • Contribute ideas and evidence to advocacy and lobbying work locally and be able to link issues faced by local actors to the national context;
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, seminars, workshops as per organization/project need;
  • Ready to work in any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh.

Additional Job Requirements
  • Experienced to work in development sector;
  • S/he should have experience to work with youth;
  • Strong understanding of the thematic program areas of youth development;
  • Experience and sound knowledge designed and prepared training module/manuals, implementation guidelines and IEC/BCC materials for staff and different targeted people;
  • Experience in organizing and facilitated participatory Training, ToT program, workshop, brain storming sessions, focus group discussions, simulation, seminars, meetings etc;
  • Expert in awareness raising activities like campaign, drama, pot song, fair, exhibition etc;
  • Experience in participatory methodologies related to capacity building activities;
  • Excellent Team work skills and the ability to build good relations both internally and externally;
  • Good written and spoken English is essential;
  • Appropriate computer proficiency in Microsoft office package, database, email and internet are essential requirements.
