Job Description / Responsibility
- Collaborate with design and production teams to develop garment concepts and prototypes.
- Ensure that the design concepts are feasible for woven fabric and can be produced within budget and timeline constraints.
- Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify and establish relationships with suppliers and manufacturers for woven fabrics and garment production.
- Negotiate pricing, quality standards, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may arise.
- Create production plans and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of garments. Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and efficient resource utilization.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that woven garments meet established standards.
- Address quality issues promptly and work with suppliers to resolve them. Monitor and control production costs to ensure products are produced within budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Market Research and Trend Analysis: Stay updated on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market competition.
- Use market research to make informed decisions about product offerings.
- Lead and motivate a team of merchandisers, designers, and production staff. Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve company objectives.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.

Additional Job Requirements

- Several years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the woven garments sector.

- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and merchandising.
- Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers and attend trade shows.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
