Job Description / Responsibility
- Location: Jarun, Konabari, Gazipur.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of the gas generator system (Waukesha) used in the soap manufacturing factory.
- Ensure the gas generator meets production requirements by monitoring fuel consumption, exhaust emissions, and power output.
- Conduct routine maintenance activities on the gas generator, including cleaning, lubrication, filter replacements, and minor repairs according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure the long-term health of the gas generator system.
- Troubleshoot operational problems with the gas generator, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly to minimize production disruptions.
- Participate in planned outages and overhauls of the gas generator system in collaboration with external service providers.
- Maintain accurate records of gas generator operations, including maintenance logs, fuel consumption data, and any operational issues encountered.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to the operation and maintenance of gas generators to prevent accidents and environmental hazards.
- Assist with the training of new personnel on the proper operation and safety procedures related to the gas generator system.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (e.g., Power Engineering) preferred, or a minimum of a diploma in a relevant technical field with extensive experience in gas generator operation and maintenance.
Experience Requirements
- At least 7 years

Additional Job Requirements
- Age 28 to 45 years
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience working with industrial gas generators in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of combustion principles, gas generator systems, and their applications in industrial settings.
- Working knowledge of relevant safety regulations and codes for gas generator operation (e.g., Bangladesh National Building Code).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth operation and timely response to issues.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Good computer literacy for maintaining records and potentially using diagnostic software (a plus).
